Profile
Pippa Handley, professional road racer, loves to ride her bike and eat. Born on the isle of Oban, enshrouded in mystery from her first step, Pippa was an overweight nurse with a drinking problem until she met her first bike. When she finally realised that the bike was not edible and nor would it wrestle her, thus began a duo marked by one success after another.
Pippa now holds numerous Scottish time trial titles and, so outrageous was her winning style on the road in the 2 Days of Bedford, she was noticed by a Dutch semi-pro cycling team manager who offered her a place on a women's team in Holland. Pippa is now competing in races on the continent and keeps us informed of her adventures through blog updates on the Edinburgh Road Club website and on her very own website.
